About 200 iron artists from 19 countries such as Turkey, USA, France, England, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, German, Belgium, Moldova, Czech Republic, Poland and China attended to the 13th International Blacksmiths Festival, which was organized in Ukraine. Our country was represented by Turkish artists, consisting of Orhan Savaş, who was invited to the festival for the 4th time and awarded with the first price last year with its art work named “Dervish”, İdris Savaş and Kerem Peker. The Turkish team was selected as the best team and was awarded the best figure prize with the work named “Endless Power” among 19 countries in the festival which was organized for the 13th time this year.
Festivals and exhibitions about ironworking are held in many countries of the world. In the festival where various activities, information exchange and symposiums are held, blacksmiths make sculptures and objects with live performances. In the 12th International Blacksmiths festival, where our country was invited for the 3rd time, our work named “DERVISH” was awarded a prize. This award we received is important in terms of the level the Turkish craftsmanship has reached in the field. Yıldız Palace, Small Mabeyn Pavilion was built by Sultan II. Abdülhamit as a holiday mansion. The work differs from other Art Nouveau works with its ceiling decorations and railings. It has banisters in Art Nouveau style and windows signed by Bonet.
